The pantry can quickly become the most chaotic place in a home. Often blocked off by a door, we can shut away our messiest room. However, this space is crucial to daily family meals, storing the non-perishable goods we eat every day. For this client, the disorganized pantry design was no longer cutting it.
With a growing family, our client was determined to finally embrace a more organized pantry, and our team had just the design in mind.
When shopping for a large family, it can be easy to lose track of what items you have and don’t, and making a grocery list can be a challenge. To combat this busy family life, we designed an organized cabinet that didn’t just feature rows of shelves as usual, but drawers and open-concept cabinets too. These two features lend a hand to better organization of different dry products, while the open-concept cabinets and glass doors allow for easy viewing of what the client already has in their pantry, so they always have eyes on what they use most.
In addition to the cabinets and drawers, the lower cabinets had open shelves for additional storage and easy viewing. This feature helped store not just food, but food-related tools and supplies, including everything from serving plates to larger utensils. With additional countertop space to place items, this functional pantry allows for more organization for this busy family, while still maintaining an aesthetic finish that is carried throughout the house.
