Our client had a long yet narrow utility closet that, without organizational elements, lacked functionality. While the space previously served as a disorganized catch-all for their cleaning materials, without shelving, it couldn't store as much as the space would allow with an improved design.
To help this client, we started by building shelving components on either side of the closet. These varied in height to accommodate different elements, and we implemented silver drawers to store some smaller items for increased organization.
At the very top of the cabinet, we fit more narrow cabinets, storing away thinner items, including sheets, pillows, and extra paper towels.
To further prevent clutter from building up on the floor of this closet, our team implemented a hanging system on the wall, allowing for other cleaning elements like a mop to hang, as well as additional shelving for cleaning products and paper towels.
With this design, a once cluttered, difficult-to-maneuver space turned into a functional utility closet that provided easy access to cleaning essentials, as well as ample storage for other household items.
