Often in small corners of the kitchen, pantries can occasionally be extremely small and cramped, and it takes a bit of careful planning to make the most of these spaces and store all your kitchen essentials.
This client was facing just this issue - a small pantry. However, with a large family and a lot of food items on hand, our team needed to make the most of this small space. To start, this meant thinking tall, not big. We started with a tall shelving design, fitting it in the small corner this home had available.
Once we had the corner cabinet in place, it was time for the shelves. For maximum organization for all types of food products, we implemented not just shelves, but pull-out drawers for smaller items, too. These drawers were open so you could easily see inside, identifying what you need quickly in a cinch.
Toward the top of this shelving, we implemented larger-scale shelves and a glass-enclosed shelving row to shield finer plates and serving materials. This way, the small pantry could become more than just a space to store food, but other kitchen essentials that aren’t in frequent use or didn't have space in the main kitchen as well.
